Just go to apple and they will replace it for you if they can confirm it's a battery issue. It's much cheaper that way than buying a new pencil. Of course for such a price you wouldn't expect it to give such issues but that's the consumerism consequence if we want something from a modern conglomerate company. At least they have wonderful service for the price they charge — from my experience that is.

I think that goes for almost all pencils? I bought a pencil (not apple) and it says in the guide that it should be charged at least once in 2 months even if not used.

0% battery doesn’t mean it is completely empty, no. What to avoid is never let it COMPLETELY empty and the battery will be become unusable.

that’s false. you can leave it, it has protection for that, all modern batteries do. it’s just faulty in this case.

My mums Apple Pencil did this and you actually have to use it at least once every 3 months to prevent damage to the battery since she lost it and yea completely unusable
