That’s the Finish feeling, effortless, even with a recipe like this. - For the pudding: 580g pitted dates, roughly chopped 4 tea bags (your choice of variety) 500ml boiling water 2 tsp bi-carb soda 90g brown sugar 90g unsalted butter, melted 90ml vegetable oil 4 eggs 400g self-raising flour 1 tsp vanilla extract pinch of fine salt For the Butterscotch Sauce: 380g brown sugar 800ml thickened cream 120g unsalted butter Zest of 1 orange Generous pinch of sea salt flakes Soak the dates with bicarbonate of soda and boiling water, adding the tea bags to the mix. Once the dates are soft, remove the tea bags and blitz everything into a smooth paste. Add the sugar, butter, oil and eggs and mix to combine, then fold in the self-raising flour until just combined. Pour into a greased tray and bake at 180°C until a skewer comes out clean. For the butterscotch sauce, combine everything in a pot over low heat until a sauce forms, then remove from the heat and keep warm. While still warm, pour over a the butterscotch sauce and serve. - 1 Consists of 75% Paper. Recyclability excludes zipper - refer to pack for recycling instructions. Paper-based packs available in select ranges & sizes of 46-80 tablets.
