I grew up listening to my first English speaking conversation was from the Beatles cartoon series back in the early 70s, and I fell in love listening to how the members spoke with the original 60-70s scouse accent. Even though I learned proper RP English back at school, I always enjoy listening to many of Northern English melodic- accents and also the Scottish and Irish too.

The accent has got stronger over the years, my older relatives, born in the 1880s, had much milder accents and my young relatives born 100 years later have stronger ones. The Beatles never had strong accents even when they were young

The Beatles accent is a south end one, which is more influenced by Welsh and a mix of other accents, the north end accent is harsher and more influenced by Belfast Irish, as well as the blocked noses of Dockers. The singy song nature comes from both Welsh and Scandinavian
