In one case, a man reported that about 322,000 yen, a wallet, and cash cards were taken, while nearby homes were also found with damaged screens in what appears to be a coordinated pattern. Authorities say as many as 16 incidents were linked in the same neighborhood, raising alarm over a possible repeat offender or group.
