im in Hurghada now. nowhere accepts coins. $1 dollar notes are good. everyone needs visas regardless of age. if you do tip they really look after you.

Use dollars because egyptian pound can be carried out of the country. Zero eSim is a bit expensive so you can buy esim at local Vodafone ot at your own telephone operator extra data for travel

It's $30 dollars but not simply £30 for a visa if you use the Banks. It was £25 each and we got a small bit of change. Don't use the reps stalls as they charge more. I am in Hurghada now.

Regards the eSIM, you can always contact your phone company and pay a small amount to cover you for the internet whilst in Egypt .
