Using OrmLing as an example, there is a behavior here that needs to be addressed. There is a difference between supporting something you enjoy and trying to push someone into it. When Nong Orm has clearly said multiple times that she does not like it and is not comfortable with a dynamic like OrmLing, continuing to ask does not make it harmless. And in this case it has been said directly... Nong Orm has already made it clear she does not like that dynamic. That is not vague or open to interpretation that is a boundary. And a boundary is not something fans are supposed to push past, reframe, or try to negotiate. "The fans really want it." "Just one series." "That would be so hot." "You will survive." "How much?" Even when said jokingly those lines carry the same message your no is not final… That is the issue. Because once a boundary is treated like something that can be negotiated the dynamic shifts from support to pressure. And when money gets brought into it even as a joke it adds another layer. It suggests that personal comfort, preferences, and decisions can be bought or overridden. That is not support. That is entitlement. There is also a deeper layer people do not talk about. When this kind of language is directed at someone in a Thai industry like what we are seeing with OrmLing it can reinforce the idea that their choices are not fully their own, their boundaries are not that serious, and with enough pressure they will give in. That is where it crosses a line… Because now it is not just about wanting a pairing it is about treating a person like their autonomy is flexible. Using OrmLing as an example does not mean people can’t have preferences. But it does mean recognizing when a preference turns into pressure. No one owes fans a specific dynamic, role, or pairing especially not one they have already said no to. Respect is not about agreeing. It is about knowing when to stop. A "no" is non-negotiable. Anything that keeps trying to turn it into negotiation is already the problem. #Lingorm #fyp #ormkornnaphat #linglingkwong
