This makes no sense. There are service agreements in place that require them to deliver the speeds in your contract .

I don't understand why people pay for high speed, like all you really need is internet essentials

Used to work for Comcast and there is no button for gig speed. That is a lie. Tons of factors why is slow.

I used their equipment and WiFi would say it’s over a gig but wired connect was 200. When I would download games or stream movies my router would randomly disconnect from the modem and reconnect in 90s but would do it every couple of minutes to the point I started using my old router from 2019

I had 1 gig Xfinity and always had more. The average was 1.2 gig to the systems or phones. I don't believe this at all.

Also fun fact a gigabit is 1000 megabits which is 125 megabytes per second

There is a setting in the outside box that limits your speed.

I personally use xfinity and install xfinity for a lot of clients, granted theyll throttle it at times but ive never experienced me or a client not getting the purchased speed over ethernet

I had Xfinity for 4 months, my wifi was probably disabled for 70% of the time, all in the middle of the day too😭

Your rate code is incorrect on the account. Billing is good but your outlet for your modem Is not coded correctly. Every time the modem reset it will work temporarily but ones system audit outlet it will throttle back. To low speed.
