So you have two pilots with one being the captain. He leaves to I do I don’t know use the bathroom? The door to the cockpit locks automatically so the other pilot has to leave the controls when in autopilot to open it. An emergency arises like extreme turbulence and requires the pilot to manually fly the plane. The captain cannot get back into the cockpit because the other pilot cannot leave the controls and has to land the plane. Does this sound possible?

Yes, they totally know how to land plane. Before they become a copilot for Delta, they have probably been a captain for a smaller airline
