I grew up on a ranch just north of montana. Took a job welding and working construction. did it for 15 years and when I quit I averaged 62.5 per week for 52 weeks a year. Met my wife on the job. she's from Georgia, we moved back here to ranch. we got started but we were both still working. both of us burning out. Quit out jobs and we are full time ranching now. Maybe not as big as some ranches but we're doing it our way and I don't owe anybody anything and I answer to nobody. "except the tax man and I'm getting sick of him too." good on ya and long live the rancher!

I’m right there with you! Preach! I was so tired of working 7 days a week and I finally realized that I can make more money doing less work and be home with the family by 4pm by just mowing grass and day working cattle.
