If you don’t have insurance they’ll charge you $2500. If you do have insurance they’ll charge you $2800 and say insurance covered the other $15k

My hospital bill was 15,000 and it went down to 11,000 because I gave them my insurance card and I didn’t know that my insurance was canceled at the time so I got that bill. Hospital bills are so messed up like nobody was in the hospital and I get billed 15,000 when I was 16 and homeless.

I swear, never pay the bill upfront. I always ask them to mail it. My daughter had a spider bite and they told me my part after insurance was $1800. After insurance, the bill mailed to me was like $100.
