just make it sharp edge , add a edge spilt modifier and add smooth modifier underneath it and play with the value of it to get the perfect result then put a solidify modifier underneath all of them boom ! , for more details add bevel modifier

I feel like for very small crevices, beveling with 2 segments and scaling down the middle loop achieves the same effect if you sharpen the edge loops
