That kinda makes sense cause before Zach was making his resident evil he mentioned about RE4 and he wanted his film to be the tone of resident evil 4

Based on the files in RE4 fans speculated that the merchant was Luis Sera's grandfather. He used a series of underground tunnels to get to where he wanted to very fast.

Now while I do think the movie looks good, people gotta stop thinking wanting an proper adaption is bad, because one big reason people want the movies is because we want to see the characters who made the franchise on the big screen with a proper told out story for both fans and people who want to get into the franchise without playing the games
