I’ve been on tinder for 6 years now. I get on average about one match for every 200 swipe rights. And I’m swiping right on about 80% of all profiles. But I have not landed even a single actual date. Let alone found a girlfriend/wife. Yes you get very few matches, but the real difficulty is getting the girls you match with to actually agree to meet up with you

The way it's explained it's like 1/1000 swipes ends up into a successful date. 200 for a match, x5 to not get one where you're not ghosted afterwards. They're missing the step where matches don't end up in a coffee or even a reply. Maybe 1 in 50 matches actually end up in a date, so it's 50000 swipes to get a date where you're NOT ghosted. If that's the criteria for a successful date... 🙄

I use Hinge and I don’t ‘like’ anyone. I wait for them to like me. 90% of my likes are terrible but that one in ten I match with and can usually arrange a date. If they like you first, you’ve got a much better chance than when you like them first

“Get used to rejection” why yeah that’s all fine and dandy at some point it’s going to mess with your mental and self esteem, I am a prime example of that. I protect what little I have left and use it to do what I want until the good Lord calls me home. Dating isn’t worth the nonsense anymore.

This is exactly why I believe our education system is missing something important. We spend years preparing people for careers and academics, yet very little time is dedicated to understanding healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, communication, personality traits, boundaries, acceptance, and the long-term impact of choosing a life partner. One of the most important decisions we ever make is who we choose to build a life and family with, and of course, with that union we often create the miracles we call children. Yet many people are never truly taught how to recognise healthy versus unhealthy behaviour before entering relationships. Hopefully, one day, education systems will evolve to place greater importance on relationship awareness, emotional wellbeing, acceptance, and understanding people on a deeper level, because the effects of relationships can shape lives, families, and future generations.🙏🏾🤎🙏🏾🤎🙏🏾
