lets not blame trump, this has been a long time coming unfortunately. They began huge furloughs months ago. This began happening in 2022 when the merger with JetBlue was rejected by the administration. Bankruptcy after bankruptcy and finally no bailout.

Trump actually said yes but the tax payer had to be paid before creditors. The creditors refused that. That is why the bailout didn’t happen. Maybe the Biden administration should have approved the merger.
