Today I’m cooking a big batch of chili verde- pork butt was on sale.. my long term exists primarily on what food I can afford to make large batches and can freeze.. directly based on room in freezer and what protein is on sale. I honestly live my life month to month grateful to have paid my bills that month

This is so spot on it’s chilling. Going through my parents house after they passed we found my grandparents company store coins that they had saved. They literally owed their soul to the company store like the song says.
