As a person who grew up with a very high stress, childhood, this is part of the reason I feel so connected to veterans and the military. I have uncles and grandfathers who served in war, but otherwise have no connection to the military. Except I am so extremely drawn to understanding the culture and the mentality because it feels familiar. He is 100% correct!
