He’s not doing well. He drank from a bottle last night and seemed good for the emergency vet at arrival but you know how quickly these foals can just take tank.” I did. I knew exactly how they could change within an hours time. Ally was already rising out of the bed beside me. She struggled into a pair of breeches — permanently in a state of dress to ride a horse — while I sat up and stretched. “We’re on our way.” I said simply. We said our goodbyes and I pulled a pair of comfy sweatpants up. It would be a blustery cold November morning and I knew every extra article of clothing would count out in the cold elements.
