But since the card was cut and didnt have a number, wouldn’t you take it back to the store and get a refund? So then that would make the store the victim because they’re having to issue a refund back to the customer and the store is losing money.

i work at a grocery store and this happens all the time. there’s so many gift card scams out there it’s crazy.
