as someone with asperger’s AND autism and i live w a low functioning non verbal autistic 8 year old and a uncle with asperger’s the two diagnosis are NOT the same they are completely different but people with autism have similar symptoms and traits which is why people have just started putting it under the umbrella term autism but it’s different i struggle a lot more with emotions and feelings than someone with normal autism usually would

Wait, it's not lvl 1 autism like in a videogame, it's a spectrum. the level of needs are categorized. it's the autism spectrum with 3 lvls of needs: lvl 1 is low needs, fidgets, esr protectors etc. lvl 2 is, as far as I understand; communication needs. ppl that have shutdowns and need cards or apps being sometimes non-verbal and the needs lvl 3 is a person who needs constant care, is usually fully non verbal but those are just the levels of needs, the sensory issues can be identical not regarding the lvl of needs, it's a spectrum after all.

not always level 1. The a$perg3rs diagnosis meant that there wasn’t any delay in vocabulary and talking,but people diagnosed with it might still be level 2 or even 3

In a way yes but not every level 1 would classify as that. I was PDD-NOS but am still level 1
