You can have both. You just have to be a little creative. Family vacations don’t have to be a week at Disney world or a Disney cruise. Camping is a great alternative and kids love it

Pick the right career instead of what’s fun. I retired at 50. Got to spend the last several years driving my daughter to and from school and sports. Those were the best years of my life.

So much of your time with your kids comes after working hours anyways, once they get school age. Make sure you make time for them in the evenings and weekends, then work while they’re educating themselves.
