I took mine off because I wanted to be a Muslim but not have to look like one . It’s my faith between me and Allah so I’m not wearing one just because I need to “look” like a Muslim . I wore mine and took it off, now I feel like a piece of my iman has been lost and I struggle to put it back on. There’s been so many opportunities I’ve had to go and pray but I’m not prepared with a hijab, as a hijab you’re always ready to pray.

There’s allot to unpack there sis and some sounds like outside opinions like not wearing it properly. You are seen and your efforts and intentions rewarded, we need to drop this wearing it properly narrative as a uniformed approach as women all over the world wear it differently and all are Muslim in the eyes of Allah. ❤️
