@skynews: People have protested in London, Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham calling for the government to improve paternity leave. The employment rights minister says the government is carrying out a full review of parental pay and leave. #Parenting #Employment #Politics #UK
I advocate for this but, the way the government will probably grant paternity before better maternity leave pay.. we need equality across the board! It’s 2026!!!

at the absolute minimum 6 weeks is needed. For milk and hormones regulation if you are breastfeeding; to allow for sleep when possible and c-section recovery. What about if the baby is in NICU. Father's (birthpartbers) can suffer PTSD and Postnatal anxiety! Also father's deserve to bond with their baby ❤️🥰 Well done dad's I am behind you 🙏

This is how you advocate for strengthening family units and tackling population decline. Make it easier for families to have children. We need better maternity pay that’s not just minimum wage and extended, paid paternity leave

I had to use my annual leave because I hadn’t been at my workplace long enough to qualify for paternity leave, just 9 days to cover one of the most important times of my life.

It should be minimum 3 months as the new born stage is tough on the mothers. They’ll probably see a decline in postnatal depression too if paternity leave was extended

i’ve just gone back after 6 months leave with full pay. should be the standard across the country. i was able to support my partner, build a bond with my baby and enjoy the first part of fatherhood without worrying about work

The key thing is extended paid leave, not just leave and increase statutory payments to at least minimum wage and should be tax free!
