there are different waves of Chinese migration to Jamaica. many of the people from this generation of Chinese Jamaicans that left were from the wave of Chinese businessmen that migrated to Jamaica. the indentured Hakka labourers were the first wave.

But there’s a reason why our country will continue to be majority black…we are literally unruly and rebellious as a Jamaican people. But we understand Chinese ppl came to Jamaica to seek a better life but they really can’t have more control than the majority black population.
