Every restaurant is running at its maximum capacity basically always. If we’re full and on a wait, it’s obvious. If we’re slower than expected, we cut staff. But everyone is working as hard as can be expected from a person at basically every minute of service….. For those that haven’t been in the business

None of that is a customer’s fault that would be more yours every time I’ve ever waited. He always had to watch the door so people didn’t have to stay there forever. You guys in the restaurant business you gotta start remembering customers will keep you going in life, the money that you make.

I saw it first hand last Saturday i walked into a fast food restaurant and saw only a manager and 2 employees working and they where busy with drive through and online orders i felt bad for them doing 8 people job with only 3

I usually walk in a restaurant and think, I sure am hungry….then sit down order, eat, and enjoy my food with good company, thank everyone who serves me, pay my check and leave.

My favorite is when you tell someone there is a small wait and they start pointing at empty tables. "Why can't I sit there?!" Because we just sat that server and there's a process to good service. You may not understand how that process works, but you can wait 5-10 minutes at the door and have great service, or 30 minutes at your table and have awful service.

true, especially with the door dash boom. I had lunch at a place the other day that only had 8 other ppl at lunch, but as I ate my meal almost 10 delivery drivers came for pick ups. the restaurant only had 10 tables, but had cooked enough food for 20 tables.
