OK, I’m definitely not hanging out with anybody. Who’s counting everybody else’s drinks. We are all adults and can make our own decisions. Also as the host of a party, you should always have backup drinks for everybody just in case. Friend sounds like Sheldon cooper

You can have as many as you want bc you are an adult - but 8 IPA’s is excessive. Those usually have high alcohol content. Maybe the host is more upset that you were drunk and this is an easier way to confront you
