20 yrs ago I was checked into a facility due to depression. The main thing that ordeal taught me was, I will be d*ad rather than get incarcerated in such a place again.

this was such a gross overreaction and overstepping by the hospital. as someone who has ppd that turned into actual ppp. not once did my therapist or any doctors do this to me. they didnt even force me on meds. just upped my therapy appointments and had a plan in case of worse case scenario and I needed to be admitted. (which never happened) also got on my bd to help me more so I could sleep.

The way my mental health wouldn’t be able to handle that alongside ppd and being away from my baby. I remember my first pp like yesterday, it wasn’t pleasant, being thrown into that would’ve made me psychotic I think. She’s so strong

I can advocate for the insurance thing I've been inpatient for my mental health I was supposed to stay 3 days but insurance allowed a week so the kept me a week it was the worst week ever I didn't really get the help I needed I was 16 I'm now 25 and found out at 23 that I have bipolar 2 disorder the hospital said I had manic depressive disorder which is bipolar when you look it up and PTSD I still have bad panic attacks and PTSD induced insomnia I now mostly garden for it as it helps most and yes I live is the US
