@profgraves: Do you always forget what you learn or study?..Names, test answers, numbers? We learn all throughout grade school how to memorize, but in college you have to be able to retrieve that information without cues. Rereading, highlighting, and cramming, helps you get familiar with the material, but on test day you have to pull that info from memory without notes. You might get by with multiple choice, but you’ll fail with short answer.
