I was this person and now I haven’t had to work in 4 years - I turned my house into an airbnb, sold my car and moved to Spain… now I live a block from the Mediterranean living in a California climate for the cost of Alabama… when I visit the US I simply block off days to use my own house to visit friends and family. I focus on my health, self improvement and taking things slowly.

A lot of people have a great time on vacation and then expect their life to be like vacation but then they find out the economy, etc. is very different and maybe the whole culture, because they’re not catering to a tourist, doesn’t seem as fun anymore
