I think as humanity presses forward without radical changes that we all know needs to happen. Our subconscious gets more focused on survival, making many interactions more curated. I personally need to look up how societies fall, cause to me this makes sense when we look into humanities past.

Hot take: work from home was pretty bad for us. I know not everyone made that shift, but my workplace used to provide a lot of spontaneous interaction both during and after the workday that just disappeared and never came back.

The mobile phone has become a social disaster, when I get on the tram for work, everyone looking down at the screen, same at concerts. I'm guilty of it too but I limit my doom scrolling to the late afternoon.

Now, people working in cafes aren’t as bothered to put on a smile an be friendly and!outward. On the one hand it might seem cold, but on the other hand they are able to act more genuine.
