I find this with Rainbows also, people are scared to let the younger kids have a go and trust them. They just need a bit more support and supervision but they can still learn outdoor and camping skills x

Probably ten years ago I had a cub parent say the cubs were too young to be around fires. I sent them the most over the top risk assessment of my life. 🤣

We took ours skiing. ⛷️they also know their way around a ferrous rod and how to chop sticks with a knife and maul, they don’t need to be stuck inside doing arts and crafts.
