Yi Fan dubs most of his characters because their voices are similar. Dubbing is common in Chinese dramas. 1. sets are loud and 2. Chinese actors have so many accents that they use voice actors for consistency and to ensure the characters can be understood across all of China.

All the actors are dubbed, they dubbed because the way of speaking is different in historical and modern. But you can watch the best thing, it's Zhang Linghe's real voice.

It's mixed at the beginning but yeah, most of it is not his voice😂 He didn't have time to do it this time but if you follow him, you will find out that his voice is even better (he dubbed in The Best Thing or Story of Kunning Palace). Personally, I'm glad that they picked a similar voice because it's weird when you know an actor's voice but hear a completely different voice, this voice actor did great.

Yeaaaaah they do the dubbing thing mostly cos the sets on these dramas are LOUD and it’s hard picking up sound. Also they need the accent in all characters to the same for historical context
