Don’t argue with him. Just tell him whatever brings him comfort and peace.

For all those saying just agree.. reminding of who they are, memories, talking about their life is a good thing. You would “just agree with him” so you don’t have to bother with him and move on with your day. He’s actually having a good conversation with him, being kind, reminding him of things and telling him he’s safe. They still need these things.

Sadie🧛🏻‍♂️ :
Generally, you should not correct someone with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia if they are mistaken. Correcting them can cause embarrassment, anxiety, and frustration because they cannot recall the correct information. Instead, adopt a "go with the flow" approach—validate their feelings, enter their reality, and distract or redirect them to a different, calmer subject

He is not required to validate your reality. Meet him where he’s at in every moment. He deserves peace and support. His brain is changing and cannot hold it all. Its stressful for him to be crammed with facts every day.

I feel sorry for Ed because you shouldn’t keep correcting someone with Alzheimer’s disease. It often causes more anxiety or frustration than it helps 😢

Just agree with him please. Doctors advised us to do this when my dad was living with dementia. It’s less stressful for them.
