The back of a double conch I did, the post should come out perpendicular with the tissue at all angles and ideally should be at the peak of the flex point of your conch when compressed.

My conch piercing is close to my head but that’s cuz my ears lay pretty flat and don’t stick out far from my head🤷🏻♀️

Profesional piercer here, the placement was good but the exit came out too close to your head. Meaning she went a bit crooked while piercing it. If you experience piercing bumps this may be the reason, if it ends up healing you might have issues wearing hoops. Hopefully it heals and if you wear studs it won’t be noticeable, but it looks a tiny bit crooked to me

I have bigass ears with a deep conch and i still think that was angled a lil too backward. doesn't mean you should remove it! just take real good care of it and maybe change it to a hoop? if not just take it out and let it heal ❤️

Its definitely deeper than the traditional one is. I have a double conch stacked in top of eachother and i can feel them when i grab the middle of my ear.

the conch is placed differently by ear because there are small artificial veins and capillaries in your ear

I have a conch and it looks exactly like this. I think it’s just your anatomy cause most peoples ears stick out or they have more surface area in the back. Looks beautiful. Happy healing process. 🤍

To me it looks like that’s where it needed to be for your anatomy! Your ears sit pretty close to your head so it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of room for that piercing based on your ears

You can get a shorter/different piercing for it later once it’s healed, def go to your piercer tho and see what they recommend and have them change it for you

that's how I pierced mine but up higher and I took it out to put a different one in literally a day after I did it because I'm dumb and now there is this white string thing coming out of it because I couldnt get another earring in 😢 and idk what it is and I'm scared it's like a nerve. I don't want to go blind.

Don’t listen to 90% of these comments. The angle is off. It’s not necessarily the front of the conch, but where they came out on the backside of the ear, should’ve came out more in the middle of the back of your ear. Will it still heal? Probably. If you ever want a hoop in it though, it’ll be a much larger diameter hoop needed than if it was pierced with a better angle. The cons if you decide to keep it- when the angle is off, sometimes it can cause angle related bumps to the piercing, and it can take longer to heal.

idk what all these comments talking abt 😭 i had mine pierced almost exactly like this and when i went to a dif piercer she was shockeddd they let me walk out w it… i took it out n a week later she re did it higher, the lil red dot is where the old one was n where i think yours is rn, id def get it looked at by a dif shop especially since the angle is toward your head n not straight (it’ll cause more bumps)
