FINALLY SOMEOME BRINGS THIS UP!! Now, I'm gonna speak my truth🤠, I love Eddie and Richie as individual characters and their stories bring up some really important topics. However, I would have LOVED that the whole "shame" on being gay in the second movie, would have been for Eddie instead of Richie. And I know I know, the actor refused to do some things since it's said that he had trauma related Idk, but I really really think that the whole homoph0bia has way more sense with Eddie's story, not Richie. Yeah, according to the book Eddie is the one who can be read more as a queer/gay man, while Richie is not and that's ok (mayble, if you squint he may be read as bi but not gay and his trauma is not related with it, and if they wanted to portrait him as queer, he would've been an AMAZING Bi man character for IT 2) I will DIE on this hill as I have been since I was 14 lol
