@gringofurioso: Replying to @kira.majeric I don't think the situation you're describing is common enough to ascribe that behavior to all pedestrians and sweep this under the rug. I imagine that accounts for maybe 0.1% of these deaths. I have cleaned up more than one death where the person was in the crosswalk. #crimescenecleaner #trauma #sacramento #pedestrian #safety

Dude I do that all the time. I only wear black, and I walk at night bc I live in New York. And if you’re going fast enough to hit me in one of these areas it’s definitely still your fault. You should be driving slow enough in pedestrian areas that you can always brake before hitting someone.

drivers dont even wait at a crosswalk to just turn! im a pedestrian and a cyclists...ive been almost hit sooo many times. And honked at while they turn, as if its my fault..the crosswalk says walk dude!

I get it, but I always worry about the people thinking they're kryptonited up, by virtue of being in the crosswalk regardless of light status.

not too long ago I was coming down a two-lane road and there was just a guy standing in the middle of the road in all black and I don't know how I didn't hit him but I still think about it this road had no lights I was like 30 miles from the nearest town
