i came to the realization in playing ut/dr that there are some fights you’re just meant to lose and the moment i realized the titan fight wasn’t one of those made it such a different game

I don’t think that Titan is a person more like a natural phenomenon idk like hurricane or an earthquake. I got that impression from the way Ralsei talked about it. Do they even have opinions to change?

the ONLY other time we have absolutely NO other choice is omega flowey and even then once we defeat that form we still get the choice to offer mercy to flowey even though its a trick by flowey to get you to do pacifist

You know it’s serious when even Ralsei tells you to fight. It definitely made me realize just how unprepared I’d been for a situation like that (bad armor, bad weapons, low HP due to going pacifist)

The Titan also explicitly cannot understand the concept of mercy according to the game which is also unique-even the Knight, King, etc. *can* comprehend the concept even if they reject our efforts to do so

something that backs up this point is when you try spare the titan or its spawn, it says 'but it was not somthing that could understand MERCY'

Interestingly, the Titan Spawn that you fight before the Titan itself can be either Banished or fought. The game tracks this internally, so maybe it will have some relevance in the future

right??? it's so wild and strange. I figure it's to reinforce the stuff told to us that they're like super evil like a dark worlds dark world and it brings destruction but it would be interesting if later on we are able to talk with one 💕
