It sucks because the US already doesn’t have public transit or even a good train system. Flying or driving around the US are the only option. Spirit made it accessible to fly from Dallas to Seattle for example. Now flights are about to double just to travel within the US.

I’m a single person with 3 degrees and I make good money. However, I can’t afford anything because of how expensive everything is. I’m currently looking for housing (my lease is ending) and the amount of people who have told me to get a roommate. I’m 37, not in my 20s. I shouldn’t have to get a roommate to afford to live. It’s so frustrating.

Spirit changed my life to be honest. whenever I needed a pick me up, I could take a $35 flight to Florida for the day and get some ocean time and then come back that night. Now that same flight is $400 each way at the other airlines 😭
