Don’t believe me but I was told by a police officer that the PA is not legal to have in a regular car. Be careful. 👍

How much do you actually use the radio? I’ve wanted to put one in my truck for years but don’t want to spend the money if nobody actually uses them anymore.

honestly thats a good simple setup in my main truck im running a a similar radio yours is probably stock as mine is so with good swr your going to be running 4 watt dead key/carrier and 15 watt swing/modulation which in majority of the time is pretty good I prefer the Stryker sra 10 magnetic mount antenna though my dad and I have had great experience with them with a stock radio in the hills and valleys of western pa it works really good

I’m a learning radio head, but you always want to try and have the coil above any obstructions I.e. your cab, or trailer etc… but at the end of the day, as long as your swr is 1.5 or less on Chan 1-19/20-40, you’re good. The swr meter on the radio is not accurate fyi. I have my cb in my f250 mounted in the same place, but I drilled into the plastic.

Only thing I see is mounted like that is going to have a lot of vibration might decrease the life expectancy of the radio also it’s going to get dust and dirt and water from you getting in and out but is it really worth doing something else probably not
