Halo ODST was surprisingly a great game. I actually wasn’t excited to play it just because you didn’t get to play as chief or a spartan but it was great.

fun fact alot of ODST are given the spartan serum to make the spartan 5s later on. still weaker than the OG spartan IIs but spartans none the less

Spartans may get all the love and spot light. but ODSTs were the ones non-stop fighting and taking on impossible odds with no augmentations and the Marines were the literal backbone of the war. this is why we need a war stories halo game. play as ODSTs, Marines, Insurgents, and even just humans trying to survive.

If they did a HALO series built around an ODST team with appearances from Spartans through out the seasons they could’ve expanded the universe like that instead on taking off Chiefs helmet on day 1 and pretty much pulling the rug out from under the entire franchise.
