I have run snowplow trucks on the highway for many years. Those trucks do not have an audio alarm for the bed being up, just a small light amoung many other lights. You have to raise the bed while driving if you are spreading salt, but you are supposed to be super aware of trees, bridges, and power lines. I was so paranoid of this happening I always had my hand on the lever pressing foreword to make sure my bed was down.
