Does work know about the cup? Also beat that ice like it’s 3am at a Waffle House.

Perfectly done. However, I have modified my recipe over the years. When making the syrup, I put the mint in a tea strainer which makes wonderful mint syrup. Put the ingredients together and add a sprig mint for garnish. We enjoy them all summer long. Cheers!

If you use Demerara or Brown Sugar Syrup instead of Simple Syrup, the taste is a lot better. Cheers

I’ve made this with simple syrup and I’ve made it with sugar cubes. There’s slight variations, but always use the 90-100 proof bourbon. Make this and enjoy.

I wish people would specify their simple syrup recipe as by weight or by volume

Love this, great recipe. Wondrich’s spec is brandy vs bourbon, gives it a richness and fruity undertones vs the classic. Love it both ways

I love your content, but 1/3 oz of rich simple is insane to me. 1/4 oz of 1-1 simple is where I live. You’re talking 2/3 of 1-1. Also, why rich? You aren’t worried about a wash line here. 1-1 in your recipe is an extra 1/3 oz…

Well… I’ve never had this drink… but thought about it while watching the derby. I would only like to try one that you made just like this.
