@chartosaur: Charts usually do one of two jobs... Discovery puts the work on the reader. You give them more information so they can look things up, cross reference, and find their own insights in the data. Direction does the work for them. You pick the story and guide them to the conclusion you want them to walk away with. The same chart can't serve both well, and neither is wrong.
