I once got an upgrade offer for $49 to first class. Domestic flight from DFW to Las Vegas. But for $49 we decided to take that. That was only the departing flight. Return flight was a huge increase.

Some people are here comparing international business/first to domestic. Emirates doesn’t have domestic flights so of course they are going to have only planes with lie-flat seats etc.
