@discoverjapandaily: Last year's Nagaoka Fireworks Festival was a night I'll never forget. At the moment of the launch, a deafening roar that vibrated deep within my chest accompanied a spectacular display of light, said to be nearly 600 meters in diameter, filling the night sky. The vibrant colors that dazzled my eyes, the vibrations in the air that I felt on my skin—all my senses were overwhelmed. It wasn't just a "fireworks display"; each and every firework was imbued with prayers for remembrance and reconstruction, and before I knew it, I was holding back tears.
