Youre assuming she doesn’t put all of that extra money from paying a car payment back into the svaing account or investing it. And youre not factoring in that its stress free having a fully paid off car vs potentially having to stress about making your lay especially if you have an emergency or job loss.

I’m OK with Lucy. I didn’t even finish paying up my used 2018 Mercedes and it broke down costing me somewhere in 1000 like 7000 or more dollars to fix. I still owe 10,000 on it so I’m all into leasing for now and I’m OK with that at my age that’s all they mean a few more cars in my lifetime.

The math is slightly incorrect. It forgets taxes on capital gain. The Interest rate for high saving yield accounts isn’t fixed over 3 years. Stock is also not guaranteed.
