Growing up so many people made tattoos out to be ugly, unattractive, and trashy. But even as a kid I thought that was ridiculous. My mom once found me using a sharpie to give my Barbie tattoos and dye her hair. When asked why I’d do that, I apparently told her I just wanted my doll to be pretty like her.

It’s totally not like the entirety of our systemic infrastructure was built so that racist white people could step on as many people that were different from them as a means to benefit themselves and give poor people a common enemy to keep them fighting each other instead of questioning class divides.
