It always hurts, but both situations it was for the best. You can’t have a happy platonic relationship with someone who doesn’t understand why certain things hurt you and some things should never be said. You can’t have a happy romantic relationship with someone who doesn’t remember the little things (when that’s all you crave), their flaws make your flaws that you tried to fix flare up, and was the reason you fit yourself into a situation that wasn’t for you for a damn good reason (then showing you why it’s not for you even more).
