@amijima_: overlay creds: 4ecluu|| #fyozai I find this song reveals the complexity shared in Fyozai’s dynamic ‘You have the thing I love but the need in me is way too much.’ What is that ‘thing’? Ideological similarity? Or a solemn discourse drifting beyond the physical? Both individuals share a profound intellect that ferments into an epistemic dilemma: The burden of self-validation. Both become their own judge, jury, without an accuser to critique their ideas, morphing into abstraction–a potential thesis with no one to identify internal contradictions. Their frameworks begin to govern reality accordingly; It does not solidify existence, it removes humanities interests that define their moral position. With the absence of depth perception, Fyodor’s truth becomes impervious against the world– his words breathe upon a dead crowd, rigid morals override established ‘wrongs.’ With morality dissolved, society attempts to orient their exhaustion, whereby their binary oppositions are rendered as merely identifiers to categorize the inexplicable. It is rooted in the dissipation of self–yet given to navigate the waking world–perhaps once overflowing with purity.. “You have the thing I love” is the inevitability of intellectual isolation recognised by dialectical resonance. Dazai challenges Fyodor’s imposed sterility upon humanity, with an intellectual capacity for epistemic friction. A worthy opponent to realise his habitual contradictions, recognising the invariable flaws that Fyodor perceives as practical, but others as utterly depraved. This friction ignites cognitive discomfort emerging from an opposing framework; this sting is recognition never discerned by anyone for centuries. It is validation marked by refuting an extremity otherwise established as objectivity. It is a sensation that shares reality amidst polarities, to reason in the same light, and differ with unified shadows. Scientifically, a shadow is cast by an opaque or translucent object’s obstruction against light: They have embraced the role of ‘good ‘or ‘evil’ for the narrative’s sake. An interpretation of ‘Me and Mr Wolf’ reveals the ‘thing’ as a genuine relationship. They mutually desire to sustain a relationship, yet both are the enablers of vices. Their destructive nature is exploitative, which explains their reservations: ‘But the need in me is way too much,’ and ‘If I open wide, one of us may get lost inside.’ Reciprocation leads to either one’s fatality–a figurative expression of romantic attachment intentionally fractured to preserve their love. Likewise, the ‘thing’ is recognition as a consequence of intellectual parity. It surfaces mutually–Dazai revealing his ‘human-side’ towards Fyodor who affirms him to be his ‘other half.’ Vulnerability is indicative, portraying a certain capacity to exude sentiment amidst complexity. However, ‘the need in me’ reflects a ‘desire’ referring to the opposing frameworks they’ve internalised. ‘Desire’ (which is particularly manifested by Abilities) garners the drive from the soul that functions to represent one’s pursuit of purpose, be it through moral agency, ontological defiance, or carnality–strays consume anything for survival. Both forge conceptualisations to find a reason to live, even through death. Equilibrium is realised through Fyozais contradictory worldviews as the plot advances based on the necessity of pursuit. The phrase ‘If I open wide, one of us may get lost inside’ vacillates over the possibility of reciprocation between polarities. If either Dazai or Fyodor forfeits established ‘desire’ as oppositions, equilibrium collapses into a single unit of instability; The cessation of the narrative by a volatile singularity. ‘Perfection’ consumes its own necessity to stray, now leaving their souls towards its own dissolution, consequently affecting humanity. In physics, perfectly opposed velocities cause a state of kinetic stasis. To ‘open wide’ in completion shatters into an irreversible trajectory into a destructive momentum.
