Shelby is a Flowerhorn fish — a man-made hybrid breed, not something found in the wild. But to me, Shelby is more than just a fish; he’s family, he’s a friend. I always try my best to give him the best care possible, and I’ve already ordered a larger tank for him. I genuinely appreciate and listen to constructive advice, because I believe people who love fishkeeping are often thoughtful and kind. But for those leaving negative comments or speaking without really understanding fishkeeping, I hope you can simply scroll past my videos if you don’t like them. One short clip could never fully show the love and care I have for Shelby. You may be good at leaving harsh comments online, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you could care for Shelby better than I do. Some people have told me to “set Shelby free,” and honestly, that feels unfair. You say that because to you, he’s just a fish — but to me, he’s a companion. If I came to your house and told you to set your dog or cat free, how would you feel? Before leaving comments, please take a moment to think, because you never truly know how much your words might hurt the person on the other side of the screen.
