Postgrad is fun because you get to have hobbies you had to drop for academics again and your weekends and evenings back. You also still get “breaks” via your PTO and you get to choose where they fall. You and your friends will also now have money so your hangouts, while rarer in some cases get cooler. The first year postgrad is almost always a bumpy ride but once you adjust you’re going to L O V E it.-a 2023 grad

As a 25 yr old who graduated in 2022 and works full time and lives in a city, there are constant parties and dancing and movie nights I will say. There are in fact too many parties and dances and movie nights.

Welcome to adulthood. College is an expensive bridge from high school to you having to contribute to society until you die. Just be glad you were popular and did these things. A lot of people don't have those memories

I was so depressed after college ended. My husband (then boyfriend I met in college) and I were so lonely bc all our friends moved away. Admittedly there were several years I didn’t have close friends that lasted outside of work. Give it time. I didn’t meet my core friends until I was about 28. All the friends that moved after college ended up moving back and we’ve picked up where we left off (plus with spouses aka built in friends). We’re 31 and our lives are so busy with weddings, celebrations, random get togethers, and group trips. We have book clubs (cool ones), random craft days, open mic nights, parties for every holiday, group movie nights, giant trips to the beach, mountains, Renaissance faires, you name it! We don’t make millions of dollars, we live normal lives. Life stays as fun as you make it, and sometimes there are seasons of hard work where there’s less fun stuff. Focus on setting yourself up for personal success now, so you can say YES to all the fun things in the future. I couldn’t have imagined my life being as it is now when I was in college. YOU’VE GOT THIS!!!💕

I was so scared but i would not go back I love post grad:) working full time. Building a small brand. Lots of hanging out with friends. You have more choice in what you do (not having homework and random stuff) I’m 10x happier now

I still have movie nights and parties with my friends. You just have to be more intentional about planning things. I see my friends every Sunday for d&d and I’m 32.

College is not like normal life. The main difference is you and your friends now have to organize events/outings yourself instead of paying someone else to facilitate it for you. Fun doesn't stop when you graduate, and you're still allowed to enjoy life even if you work full time 😉

If you’re worried about keeping in touch with your college friends, don’t be. This is my friend group this past February. We graduated in 2019, we live in 3 different states, and we still make time to get together!

IMO my life has gotten more fun since college. I miss having less responsibilities but I don’t miss feeling super unstable and chaotic. I’m 29 my bff is 35, her husband is 42 and my bf is 46 and we go out a dancing, bar hopping, we travel all over, we have big themed house parties and events. It’s like college except now I have more money and sense lol. We just threw a big Kentucky derby party this past weekend, a pool party the week before, and we’re planning a trip for Memorial Day and an another big pool party for 4th of July.

I have great news- you can still go to parties and have movie nights and do fun things once you aren't in school anymore. you typically do have to MAKE those plans with friends, but it is a think you can and should do.

you can still have all of those things, you just have to go way out of your way to logistically make it happen. just keep pushing and focusing on building yourself up, it weirdly does get easier around and after 30. not universally, but it did for me.
